IMY Creations: A Hawaiian Cultural Experience
IMY, also known as Islandmama Yvonne, is a seasoned and reputable event organiser and creative consultant who has work on a wide range of custom events and concerts since 2000. Her passion is borne from the place she calls home… Hawaii and her mission is to share her Aloha Spirit with everyone she meets from the young to the young-at-heart!
IMY co-founded the ‘POPO Project’ in 2004 with a thematic focus on LOVE and EMBRACE. She travelled with 50 artists and TV crew to world-renown artist Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studio in England to record the ‘POPO Song’ which includes a POPO dance with Ekin Cheung, Chet & Eman Lam, Ellen Loo, Stephanie Cheng and Endy Chow, just to name a few.
Islandmama Yvonne was the Director and Producer of the very first ‘Hawaiian Family Festival’ in 2008 with Hong Kong’s LCSD starring the Na Hoku Hano Hano Award (Hawaiian Grammy) winning artists Nathan Aweau and Nohelani Cypriano collaborating with Khalil Fong and Chet Lam. The festival included a lovingly-crafted two-week concert and workshop series that comprised Hawaiian music, Lei making and Hula dancing with children from various backgrounds.
She was the mastermind behind the 2016 production of Endy Chow X Taimane (Hawaiian ukulele virtuoso) for Viu TV’s cross-cultural music travel documentary with their Charitable MDA Hawaii Chapter concert, played at the historical Governor’s Mansion at Washington Place in Honolulu.
IMY is now offering an even more intimate introduction to the beautiful world of Hawaii through music, dance, arts, craft and cuisine. Our programs are customized for children and adult parties, classroom presentations (all levels), corporate team-building and charitable events. This is a great way to share personal LOHAS, and wellness for the mind, body and spirit.
We would love to share our ALOHA SPIRIT with you, your friends and your Ohana.
